Mommy, Mommy…  Proposal

“Mommy Mommy Are We Lost” is based on a verbatim conversation I had with my seven-year-old daughter Justine while walking on a remote beach on Martha’s Vineyard in 1982. It wasn’t until 30 years later while I was recanting the memory of that conversation to a friend that I decided to scribe it and create a children’s book that guides a child from the vastness of the Universe and the complexities of the ever-expanding world they live in, and introduces them to their essence and their center axis. This message also gives parents and teachers a tool that allows them to easily reinforce this concept and help to empower children to interact in dynamic ways as an active participant to all the challenges that life has to offer.

I believe that the most important gift we can bestow on children is to support the healthy development of their self-esteem. If we do this successfully then they will have the determination to learn what they need to learn and do what they need to do to become content and successful members of society.

“Mommy Mommy Are We Lost” is the first book in a collectable series of bi-lingual books for young children. Within this first series individual books will be translated into various languages and illustrated to depict the people, culture and country it represents. Each book will be customized to use the demographics of each specific country. For an addition charge these books can be further tailored for a specific child with their name and with landmarks that are meaningful to them.

A CD will accompany the book that will speak the text in both languages so the child learns the correct pronunciations of the words and phrases used.

The last question in the story, “Justine where is your heart?” is a call to action. A website (blog) with the URL “TheWorldeWideKidsWeb” is being created as a platform where kids from around the world can meet to share their ideas and aspirations. In this multicultural platform with the guidance of mentors these young people can work together across the globe.

Inspired by their vision, and empowered by their passion kids can band together

to support each other’s local and or global initiatives by joining “Kid To Kid Global Exchange”.

Additional books will be written that will build on this model to address older kids interests and developmental needs. Just imagine, while supporting their initiatives how exciting it will be to witness the expansiveness of these young visionaries’ altruistic and creative ideas come to fruition thus empowering them to bring their generation forward in unprecedented ways.

They will become the leaders, not the victims.

Mommy Mommy Are We Lost ?

Susan Randazzo-Fabrizio

While walking on a remote beach on Martha’s Vineyard my daughter Justine looks up at me and asks…

Mommy: “Mommy, Mommy are we lost?”

Justine:  “Sweetheart how could we be lost?”

Justine: “What do you mean Mommy?”

Mommy: ” Well Justine what planet do we live on?”

Justine: “The planet Earth”

Mommy: “What hemisphere are we in?”

Justine: “The western hemisphere”

Mommy: “What continent are we on?”

Justine: “The continent of North America”

Mommy:“What country are we in?”

Justine: “The United States”

Mommy: “Which coast are we on?”

Justine: “The East Coast”

Mommy: “What state are we in?

Justine: “Massachusetts”

Mommy: “What Island are we on?’

Justine: “Martha’s Vineyard”

Mommy: “What town are we in?”

Justine: “Vineyard Haven”

Mommy: ” And Justine what ocean are you wiggling your toes in?”

Justine: “The Atlantic Ocean”

Mommy: “Sweetheart, how could you be lost?

Mommy: “Justine, show me where your heart is?

Justine:  “Right here Mommy” (Justine points to the center of her chest)

Mommy: And from there Justine you can explore all of life’s wonders

I dedicate this book to my beautiful daughter Justine, who has given me the opportunity and incentive to strive to become the best I can be. With her I have been able to experience the depth of my loving nature, the playfulness of my inner child, access my soul’s wisdom and to watch her grow and develop into the wonderful woman she has become today.

I love you Justine,
Magic Mommy

I feel it’s within the simplicity of the content that makes this message so powerful. It’s a journey that guides a child from the vastness of the Universe and the complexities of the ever-expanding world they live in while introducing them to their essence and their center axis.
