Kid’s Advocate Initiative

Kid to Kid Global Exchange

Mission Statement

The Kids to Kid Global Exchange is dedicated to providing a safe, positive and stimulating platform where children from around the world can join together to share their dreams, aspirations and initiatives.  This would be accomplished through an international partnership model between kids and mentors.  Mentors would provide support, training and guidance to enable the kids to have a positive experience, which would impact their future global relationships.

Objectives:

  1. To provide an alternative to the aggressive behaviors that are part of the current game and media culture
  2.
  3. To create a comprehensive model that will help children develop effective international communication, leadership, team building and goal implementation
  4.
  5. To encourage children to stretch their imaginations and to think globally
  6.
  7. To provide a vehicle for the participants to develop an idea, create a plan and turn it into a successful enterprise
  8. Our commitment is to enable a paradigm shift to occur in our society by establishing a movement of children from around the world who are dedicated, resourceful, healthy and successful. By offering them multiple platforms where they can join together, obtain the support, training and guidance they need to accomplish their dreams. In partnership with them and the global community, together we can have a positive impact that’s necessary to make the shift needed to create a better world for all.

I was inspired to develop this project after I wrote a children’s book called, “Mommy, Mommy Are We Lost?” The book is a recorded conversation I had with my six-year-old daughter Justine 33 years ago while walking on a secluded beach on Martha’s Vineyard.

Children come into life pure and filled with wonderment, wanting to do good deeds and make a positive impact in the world. But far too soon they are defeated and fall into line by the influences placed on them by the experiences, beliefs and limitations of the people who are guiding them. This sabotages their soul’s longing to believe they can make their amazing dreams come to fruition.

Currently, children have become desensitized and conditioned to adapt aggressive behavior by participating in violent videos and games. These venues are totally the wrong stimuli to be reinforced in our society. It’s important to have a strong and determined alternative that will allow our children an exciting way to actualize their positive impact in their lives and the world.

My vision (intention) is to create comprehensive, multimedia forums that will give children, from six years old through their teens, the opportunity to accomplish their desired goals.

Children who have a clear vision of their initiative and are approved by the advisory board can join as leaders.

Other children who want to join an existing team can support a cause that is important to them.

Lead by mentors, the children will develop the skills necessary to bring a project to completion, such as: working with others by learning effective communication, leadership, team building, goal planning and implementation.

They will learn to experience challenges as opportunities to stretch their imagination and grow from.

They will learn how to develop a great idea into a functional, successful enterprise.

But most important, they will build their self-esteem by experiencing their personal power while achieving their dreams.

Bringing high profile celebrities, known for their altruistic endeavors, will add the notoriety and prestige whose impact will insure the attention and credibility that will enable this movement to create extraordinary results.

Michelle Obama, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Oprah, Julie Andrews and her daughter Emma, Ellen DeGeneres, just to name a few

Inspired by their vision, and empowered by their passion, there are children currently whose motivated determination has enabled them to succeed in their endeavors. They will be powerful role models and peer mentors who will lead the movement forward.

Justin Bieber, Max Page, the boy who played Dart Vader in the Volkswagen commercial, etc.

All the venues below will incorporate these values and elements appropriate to their platform.

    Books

A series of books will be written to stimulate youthful creativity and inspiration. These stories are meant to validate children’s inner knowing and desires, and show them how great ideas become reality.

    Virtual World

A virtual world community, where children from around the globe can join together sharing their common interests and supporting each other to accomplish their goals.

Each group will be lead by a mentor who will organize and guide the children in developing and facilitating a comprehensive plan. The mentor will be the liaison between the children and the board and will be responsible for moving the project forward.

Breakout workshops, appropriate for each age level, are designed to teach the numerous skills necessary for the children’s personal development, enabling them to bring their lifelong initiatives to fruition.

Each group will have it’s own community in the virtual world dedicated to it’s specific initiative, depicting the actual landscape allowing each group to be submersed in an authentic experience. It will be equipped with all the resources needed for the kids to accomplish their goals.

The children will create their avatars to their desired specifications. They will be guided to identify the qualities they want to personify and to develop the traits that will help them build their character as adults.

There will be common areas within the world where teams can meet, support each other by sharing ideas and resources, and celebrate their accomplishments.
